```The Doobie Brothers Dallas Concert reviews
James and Carole - Better than ever
I first saw Carole and The Doobie Brothers in Columbus in the fall of 1971. I had gone to the concert specifically to see Carole. The show opened with this beautiful young girl sitting alone at a piano, the warm-up act as they say. Before she said anything, she sang covers of several old hits. Then as she was about to start another song, she said "I'd like to sing another song I wrote" and headed into Natural Woman. I couldn't believe it, I was like "Who is this girl?" Well, by now the whole world knows. So too was The Doobie Brothers (as always) when they came out, and they finished the evening playing together. Her set was amazing, well, 39 years later here they were on stage again, the same great music, the same great voices, the same great band. Not sure it can get any better than this. Like being with old friends that you love and don't spend enough time with.
